Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Sai Lok intended for?
Sai Lok is arranged for older adults who are living independently and well, but who appreciate having a little thoughtful support nearby and a community of neighbours around them. It is a lifestyle residence, not a medical facility.
Can a resident choose only one arrangement, or must they take the full package?
Residents are free to begin with Daily Living Support or Excursions alone. There is no obligation to take the Complete Residence Living arrangement. Most families find it helpful to start with a single service and adjust from there.
What does the monthly fee include, and are there extra charges?
Each arrangement is billed monthly with a clear, fixed fee. Daily Living Support is HK$1,150, Excursions is HK$2,380, and Complete Residence Living is HK$3,840. There are no hidden charges; anything outside the listed scope would be discussed and agreed before it arises.
How are the outings organised, and where do they typically go?
Outings are planned in small groups — usually four to eight residents — with a host from our team accompanying throughout. Destinations include local wet markets, Victoria Park, Tin Hau Temple, and the North Point harbourfront. Transport is comfortable and air-conditioned.
How do you keep families informed about their loved one's wellbeing?
Families are welcome to visit at any reasonable time, and our team is available by phone and message. We share regular updates by WhatsApp or email — photos from outings, notes on how the week has gone — so those who are close to the resident always feel in the picture.
Is there a minimum stay or notice period?
Arrangements are made on a monthly basis. We ask for one calendar month's notice if a resident wishes to change or conclude their arrangement. There is no long-term lock-in.
